Kathleen (Ventura) Costa, 58, of New Bedford died Friday April 5, 2013 at home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Bruce D. Costa.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Antone R. and Ruth (Maciel) Ventura, she lived in New Bedford for most of her life.
Mrs. Costa was formerly employed as a certified nursing assistant at Sippican Healthcare Center.
She loved shopping.
Survivors include her children, Jason Boruta, Denny Boruta, and Erika Boruta; her siblings, Ricky Ventura, Edward Ventura, Theresa Vassallo, Diane Geanogeruso, Emily Leblanc, Sandra Westgate, Rita McDuffie, Ruth Medeiros, Rose Reposa, and June Ventura; and many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Michael Ventura, Antone Ventura, and Alvin Ventura.
Visiting hours will be on Saturday April 13, 2013 from 12-2 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery will take place at a later date.
