Lloyd A. Svedberg, 81 years old, passed away on April 8, 2013, at Port St. Lucie Hospital in Florida. He has gone to meet Our Lord and to be in His eternal home. He lived most of his life in Auburn, MA. He moved to Port St. Lucie, FL eleven years ago. Lloyd belonged to the Auburn Lodge of Elks #2118 and was an avid member and a Past Exalted Ruler. He loved the Elks and what it stood for. In Florida he belonged to the Port St. Lucie Lodge #2658 as an affiliate member and joined the P.E.R. Assoc. He also belonged to the American Legion Post #318 in Florida. Lloyd accepted the Lord as his Savior 5 years ago and read the Bible daily.
Lloyd leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Shirley (Lippe) Svedberg; three sons, Gregory Svedberg, Darryl Svedberg and his wife Ann Marie, and Barry Svedberg and his wife Jessica ; his daughter, Cheryl Macleod and her husband David; four grandchildren, Priscilla Svedberg, Amy Svedberg, Eric Svedberg, and Jima Svedberg; and a great-grandson, Sebastian Swartz.
Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA on Sunday, April 14, 2013, between 3 and 5 pm. The Elks will perform their ritual during calling hours. The funeral service will be graveside at All Faiths Cemetery, 9 Island Road, Worcester, MA on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 10 a.m. Please go directly to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to defray funeral costs may be sent to Shirley.
