Rockland - Dorothy M. (Gobeil) Corriveau 81 passed away peacefully, Monday April 8 after a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond C. Corriveau.
Born in Biddeford, Maine she was the daughter of the late Laureat and Carliss (Harding) Gobeil.
Before her retirement she had worked many years as a mechanical assembler for Electro Switch of Weymouth and Electro-Signal Lab of Rockland. Later she was a familiar face working several years for Ocean State Job Lot.
She had been a longtime resident of Abington before her move to Rockland several years ago.
She enjoyed attending the many Senior Citizen bus trips, and “home shopping”. She was an avid bingo player in the local area of Abington, Hanover, Rockland and Whitman.
She is survived by her children Raymond C. Corriveau, Jr. of Whitman, Sharon Snow of Abington, Donna Farquharson of Taunton, her brother Robert Gobeil of Maine, her sisters Barbara Ouellette of NH, Annette Strang of NY and Theresa St Ours of Maine. She is also survived by her grandchildren Daniel DuBois, Derek Avery, Liza Farquharson-Twiraga, Alyssa Corriveau, Jonathan Corriveau, and Christian Corriveau. She was the mother of the late Debra Reynolds and grandmother of the late Rob Farquharson, Jr.
Her services will be held Saturday April 13 at 8:15 AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 9 AM in St. Bridget Church, Abington. Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Rockland. Visiting hours will be held Friday April 12 from 4-8 PM.
