Obituary

Salem, NH – William A. “Papa” and “Big Bill” DePardo, 74, died Saturday April 6, 2013 at Holy Family Hospital with family by his side.
Bill was born in Hartford, Connecticut October 27, 1938 and had been a resident of Methuen for the greater part of his life. He was born the son of Valentine W. and Anne (Greco) DeMarco and was a 1957 graduate of Tenney High School and Northern Essex Community College.
He served his country in the United States Navy.
Mr. DePardo was very involved in our community. He was a member of the Zoning Board, School Committee member and chairman, proprietor of Billy D’s Restaurant, the owner of DePardo’s Furniture, a founding member of Methuen Youth Hockey, and served on the Methuen Police Force. He was active in local politics for many years. Bill was Vice President of Technical Aid Corp., and presently worked for Eagle Investigations.
Bill enjoyed time spent with late friend Ronnie Ford on the “Hotline” talk show Radio 800 WCCM. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and greatgrandfather who enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years Priscilla (DePari) DePardo and sons William DePardo and his wife Paula, and Robert DePardo and his wife Kim; grandchildren Ashley and Joseph and a greatgrandson Aiden.
A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday morning at 10:30 a.m. in Saint Monica’s Church in Methuen.
Friends will be warmly received on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen.
