WEBSTER - Donald J. Cournoyer, Sr., 68, of Webster died Thursday, April 4, 2013, at his home after an illness.
He leaves 6 children, Donald J. Cournoyer, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Dudley, and Jude-Thaddeus, Mary-Theresa, Dominic, Margaret and Faustina; a grandson, Zachary Cournoyer; 2 brothers, David and Bernard Cournoyer, and a sister, Candy Davis, all of Webster; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Cournoyer, Jr. and by 2 sisters, Claire Mahan and Anne Marie Romanek.
He was born and raised in Webster, son of Arthur Cournoyer, Sr. and Gertrude (Clark) Cournoyer and lived here most of his life.
Mr. Cournoyer once owned Rose Texaco Gas Station in Southbridge. Until recently, he was a gas station attendant at Art’s Service Station in Dudley.
He loved to spend time in prayer at the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.
The funeral will be held Monday, April 8, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:30 AM in Saint Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main St.,Dudley. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be from 8:30 to 10:00 AM Monday, April 8, in the funeral home.
