Mark A. Sweetnam, age 61 of Brockton, formerly of Quincy, died April 1, 2013 following a period of failing health. Mark was born in Boston, son of the late Richard K. and Marylyne (Adams) Sweetnam. He was raised in Waltham and Chelmsford and was a graduate of Chelmsford High School. Following graduation, Mark enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany during Vietnam. For over 20 years he had been employed by the Linear Printing Company. Mark was an avid reader and history buff. He was a true patriot of his country and was extremely knowledgeable of the United States wars. Mark also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mark is survived by his sister Patricia M. Krause and her husband Rick of Newtown Square, PA, two sons and two nieces, Wendy E. McKinney and Andora D. Bagley. Mark also leaves many caring friends, especially Don and Carol Jones, and their children Ava and Ethan. His burial, with military honors, will take place at a later date at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
