METRICK, Michael J. of Quincy and Naples, FL formerly of Dover and Woburn, suddenly, April 3, 2013. Beloved husband of Anne M. (Dynan) Metrick. Devoted father of Julie D. Metrick of Providence, RI. Michael was born in Boston and was the son of the late Michael J. and Adele K. (Mitchell) Metrick.
He was a graduate of Wentworth Institute of Technology, Maine Central Institute and Woburn High School. Michael owned and operated Metrick Manufacturing Company, Inc. in Woburn for 33 years.
He leaves his sisters, Justyne A Pereira of Lakes Wales, FL, Darlene M Moore, Nashua, NH and Marlene J Metrick of Westford and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren and beloved friends.
His generous heart touched all he came in contact with and will be missed. Michael was supporter of many charities, including the Sisters of Notre Dame, Rosie’s Place, Woburn High Scholarship Fund and countless others. An avid golfer, he lived life large and was a “Prince of a Man”.
Funeral Mass in St. Agatha Church, Milton, Monday, April 8 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave. MILTON, Sunday, April 7 from 4:00-8:00 pm. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
