AUBURN – Paul K. Wynne, died Friday, July 30, 2004, at the Life Care Center of Auburn, after a short illness.
He was born in Worcester, August 29, 1926, the son of the late Florence C. (Premo) and Augustine P. Wynne. Paul graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School and lived in Worcester most of his life, moving to Auburn 14 years ago. He was a shipper at Butler-Dearden Company for 30 years, retiring in 2000.
Paul is survived by his loving companion and friend, Sylvia Connor ofAuburn and the entire Connor family who shared their love with him; his step-mother, Doris (Savageau) Wynne of Worcester; two brothers, Rev. Robert of Hawaii and Richard and his wife Mary Ann of California; two sisters, Joan Brunell and her husband Arthur of Shrewsbury and Elaine Fitzsimmons of Arizona. Another sister, Florence Delorey died in 1990. In addition, he leaves many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Paul will be remembered as a humble, generous man with a wry sense of humor, and a remarkable memory for details. An avid sports fan, Paul was a veritable fountain of knowledge, a walking sports encyclopedia.
His funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 3rd with a Prayer Service at 11 AM in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Worcester. Family and friends are invited to attend.Visiting hours at the funeral home are Monday, August 2nd from 5-8 PM.
