WEST PALM BEACH, FL—Wayne R. Dean, 66 years old, died accidentally Saturday July 24th, in West Palm Beach, FL.
He was born in Detroit, on February 3, 1938, a son of Marie (Dean) Uphoff, and the late Ivan I. Dean. He served seven years in the U.S. Army, and was stationed in Frankfort, Germany and Fort Drum, NY. Mr. Dean eventually moved to Lowell, where he remained for more than thirty years.
For more than 25 years, he worked at ZBR Publications/Globalware Solutions. He was a hard working and well respected man who worked his way up from a pressman to Plant Manager prior to his retirement. Two years ago, he relocated to West Palm Beach to enjoy his retirement with his wife and his two “buddies” Arnie and Reese.
Surviving him are his wife of 18 years: Linda (Anderson) Dean, his mother: Marie (Dean) Uphoff; two daughters: Dawn Marie, of Groton; and Carol Love, and her husband Michael, of Haverhill; three sons: Mark, and his wife Dawn, of Florida; Gary, and his wife Lynn, of Chelmsford; and David, and his wife Jennifer, of Lowell. Two sisters: Belle Wolaver, of Florida; and Martha Pruitt, and her husband Ray, of Montana; two brothers: Ronald and his wife Betty, of Illinois; and John and his wife Sue, of Illinois; his former wife: Donna (Endsor) Dean; 18 grandchildren and one great grandson.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Wayne’s life, Tuesday August 3rd, from 5 to 8 PM at Kitty’s Restaurant, 123 Main Street, North Reading (Rear Entrance). In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the MSPCA, 400 Broadway Street, Methuen, MA 01844.
