Donald H. Bengle, age 74, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 13, 1939, a son of the late Albert M. and Jessie M. (Koscinski) Bengle. Donald was born in Springfield and raised in Chicopee where he had spent most of his life before moving back to Springfield for the past 6 years. He was a communicant of the former St George Church. He retired from the former Weyerhaeuse Co., currently, New England Container of Chicopee, after 25 years. He also worked part time as a security guard for a different company. Donald is survived by his beloved wife of 50 ½ years, Aline R. (Aube) Bengle of Springfield; his sister Barbara Hein and her husband Egon of Chicopee; his niece Brenda Hein; nephew David Hein, his wife Kathleen and their children Alyssa and Nicolas. He also leaves many cousins. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on the morning of the funeral. A Funeral Service will be held on Fri., April 5, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. from the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St Rose de Lima Church at 11:00. Burial will follow in St Rose de Lima Cemetery.
