New Bedford – Eugene P. Desrosiers, 72, of Acushnet and Haines City, FL passed away April 1, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of Arlene J. (Pacheco) Desrosiers to whom he was married for 50 years.
Mr. Desrosiers was born in New Bedford, the 11th of 12 children of Joseph A. and Alice (Gamache) Desrosiers, and resided in the greater New Bedford area all of his life. He was employed by the former Eastern Sportswear for more than 20 years.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by his son: Alan L. Ross and his wife, Maria; his only granddaughter and best friend: Nichole M. Ross, all of Acushnet; 3 sisters: Irene Girouard, Alice Fiano and Yvette Cote; a brother Albert Desrosiers; and several nieces & nephews.
He was brother of the late George, Leo, Lucille, Paul, Gerard, Louise and Aldege Desrosiers.
Per his wishes, Mr. Desrosiers will be cremated and funeral services will be private.
