Victor W. Miselis, age 85, a former longtime resident of Wilmington passed away peacefully on April 1st, at the Merrimack Valley Hospital in Haverhill following a lengthy period of declining health. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian T. (Zabloska) and together they shared 61 years of marriage prior to her passing 2011. Born in Chelsea where he was raised and attended school he was one of four sons of the late Joseph and Wilhelmina (Gerski) Miselis.
Victor was a 1948 graduate of M.I.T with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He retired from Lincoln Labs where he worked for many years as an engineer. He was also a proud U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Mostly devoted to his family, he enjoyed skiing, golfing and also enjoyed cultivating and growing roses.
He is survived by his children, Dr. Kenneth Miselis and his wife Judith of California, Randall "Jay" Miselis and his wife Debra of Haverhill, Joseph Gurski and his wife Katherine of Mexico, Barbara Carey of Lowell, and Lorraine McCormack and her husband Neil of Maine. He is also survived by 16 loving grandchildren and 11 loving great grandchildren. Brother of Frank Miselis of So. Yarmouth, Richard Miselis of PA and the late Edmund Miselis.
Funeral services will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., WILMINGTON, Friday, April 5th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, from 4 thru 7 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Victor's memory to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
