Guilherme Dias, age 80 of Fall River, passed away March 31, 2013. Born in Capelas, São Miguel, Açores, he was the husband of Maria Conceicão (Camara) Dias and the son of the late Guilherme & Maria (Carvalho) Dias. He had worked as an electrical engineer and retired from Rhode Island Nursery. He was a parishioner of St. Michael Church and a member of the Afonso Costa Republican Club in Fall River.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Beth Dias Cordeiro of Assonet, Aureliana Mary Dias & Jose Guilherme Dias both of Fall River, Natalie Coimbra of E. Freetown, Peter Dias & Mickey Dias both of Fall River, Paula Christina Lima of Westport, Jennifer Dias & Kevin Dias both of Fall River; brothers: Augusto Dias of Fall River, Eduardo Dias of E. Providence, Bento Dias of Somerset, Luis & Jose Dias both of Fall River; 8 grandchildren & many nieces & nephews. He was the father of the late Maria Isabel Dias, the grandfather of a late granddaughter and the brother of the late John, Miguel, Manuel, Messias Dias, and Alvaro D. Carvalho.
His funeral will take p lace from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MA on THURSDAY at 8:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
