Barbara Flanagan Cadorette, a long time resident of Truro, died March 26, 2013 at Boston University Medical Center following a courageous and protracted battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Mrs. Cadorette was 66 years old.
Mrs. Cadorette and her family began coming to Truro when she and her brothers were children. After her retirement as a Vice-President of Personnel at Blue Cross/Blue Shield, she and her husband, Dennis, who survives her, retired permanently to Truro. Before her illness curtailed her activities, Mrs. Cadorette and her husband enjoyed their retirement frequenting Ballston and Corn Hill beaches as well as fishing on their boat, Barbara Ann, from Pamet Harbor.
She was a member of the Truro Disability Commission and the Pamet Harbor Yacht Club, of which her father was a founding and charter member.
Born April 28, 1946, Mrs. Cadorette was one of three children and the only daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Flanagan. A graduate of Milton HIgh School and Curry College, Mrs. Cadorette was pre-deceased by her brothers Jack and Joseph.
In addition to her loving husband Dennis, Mrs. Cadorette is survived by her sister-in-law Karen Flanagan, her niece Kristen and a great-nephew Dre; her nephew Brian Flanagan, his wife Jennifer and their daughters Paige and Peyton; her nephew Greg Flanagan and his wife Josephine; her brother-in-law Ron Cadorette, his wife Debby and their children Jennifer and Ron; her brother-in-law George Cadorette, his wife Maria and their daughters Michelle and Jessica; and a large and extended family of friends.
A celebratory Mass of Mrs. Flanagan’s life will be held April 6, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church.
