Leola Clements Bruce, 89, of Alpharetta, formerly of Tifton, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at the Gardens of Roswell in Alpharetta. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 4, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Joseph Crumley will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Bruce was born on November 24, 1923 in Tift County and was the daughter of Lonzie Clements and Georgia Lee Hipps Clements, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Cecil Bruce, who died in 2000; four sisters; and four brothers. She was retired from Queen Carpet and was a lifetime, charter member of Tifton’s First Assembly of God.
Mrs. Bruce is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Hilda Bruce of Tifton; one daughter and son-in-law, Cissy and Marv Hoeflinger of Alpharetta; four grandchildren, Rachel Dawn Moore, Tina Marie Bruce, William Shane Bruce and Michael Spradley; and five great-grandchildren, Brock Spradley, Amber Spradley, Kenzie Spradley, Seth Thomas Bruce and Shayna Leigh Bruce.
