Obituary

Joseph Parker Manthorne, a Boston native, was a public relations consultant and served as staff representative for small business and media relations for a government agency. He did extensive writing and editing of news and feature stories. He graduated from Boston University, School of Management, and conducted graduate studies there and at Framingham State College. He was a member of the Public Relations Society of American, and author of Public Relations Tips (1987). He served in the U.S. Army from 1941 to 1977, retired as Lieutenant Colonel. He lived in Natick before moving to North Andover with his wife Katherine Farrell Manthorne who succeeds him along with his four children Kathie, Jay, Patricia, and Mark and four grandchildren. Funeral services are being held Wed., April 3 at 10:00 am, St. Michael’s Church, North Andover. Friends may visit on Tuesday, April 2 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. 35 Merrimack St. North Andover, MA, 01845.
