Victoria L. (Macuga) Czechowski, 92, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013 in Lanessa Extended Care. Her husband of 36 years, Frank A. Czechowski, Sr., died in 1984.
She leaves a son, Frank A. Czechowski, Jr. and his wife Kathleen E. of Webster, 4 grandchildren, Frank A. Czechowski, III of Webster, Joseph A. Czechowski and his wife Ania of Thompson, Ct., Melissa E. McCarthy and her husband John of Worcester, and Kimberly E. Earley of Webster, 8 great grandchildren, Erica, Ryan, Kyleigh, Bradley, Connor, Brett, Braylyn, and Brooklyn and a sister, Mary M. Wedda of Webster.
Vicky was born in Douglas a daughter of Albert and Mary (Schimdt) Macuga and lived here for many years. She worked at the former Webster Shoe Co. and later at the former Stevens Linen Associates. Vicky was a member of St. Joseph’s Basilica and also worked for many years at their festivals and bazaars.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Polish Women’s Club and the Slovak Catholic Sokol Society of East Douglas. Vicky liked taking walks with her dog Zena and having dinner and driving to Douglas with her sister Mary. She enjoyed her grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren, whom she adored.
The Funeral for Vicky will be Tuesday, April 2, 2013 with a Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Joseph’s Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St., burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace Cemetery.
Calling Hours for Vicky will be Monday, April 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM at the ROBERT J.MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 SCHOOL ST., Webster.
