Marjorie Fay (Atkinson) Semple, 79, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital March 23 surrounded by her family. Loving mother of Gary Mackenzie and his wife Susan of West Barnstable, Glenn MacKenzie and his wife Mary Ann of Centerville, Gayle Cotter and her husband Ned of Mashpee, and Gerilyn Fogarty and her husband Terence of Plymouth. Sister of Stephen Diamond of CA. Janet van Steensel and Joan Atkinson both of MA. She also leaves 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
Fay was born in Brookline, the daughter of William Atkinson and his wife Lillian and Marjorie Diamond and her husband Joseph. She graduated from Brookline High school and Vermont College. She was the President of Beech Management Company; Fay was a member of New Beginnings. She loved to spend time by the ocean. Her hobbies included writing and spending time with family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Richard Davis funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rte 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Monday April 1 starting at 11 AM with a service at 12 Noon. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Elizabeth Hospital Heart and Lung Foundation Brighton, Ma & International Rett Syndrome Foundation
