Harold E. “Skip” Cottrell, 53, of Chestnut Avenue, Cranston, died Saturday, March 23,2013 at Rhode Island Hospital
He was the son of the late Harold and Rita (LaCombe) Cottrell. He lived in Cranston and had previously lived in Warwick. He worked at the former New England Pest Control before retiring. Skip loved animals, movies, and sports. He was a lifelong Bruins and Red Sox and Steelers fan.
He is the brother of Laraine Cottrell of Glocester, Paul Cottrell of Central Valley, NY and Peter Cottrell of Montague, NJ. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
His funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00AM in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Burial will be in Acote’s Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Skip’s memory may be made to Potter League for Animals, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840. Skip loved animals and this would make him happy.
