Jennie Frances Beal, 83, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Earlie Holt officiating. Eulogies will be given by: Donald During, Brenda Wiggins and Ida Beal Harding. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Beal was born November 12, 1929, in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late John Bob Malone, Sr. and Clara Mae Hanna Malone. She graduated from Fitzgerald High School in 1947 and lived in the community all of her life. She worked for Sultana Truck Stop and also the Ben Hill Primary School Lunchroom for many years. She also prepared Wednesday night meals for First Baptist Church and was a Pink Lady for the Dorminy Medical Center Auxiliary. A member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, she enjoyed cooking and reading. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling where she visited many countries and most major cities in the United States. Mrs. Beal was a member of Westside Baptist Church where she had served as Director of the Choir and Sunday School Department. She will be remembered as a loving sister, wife, mother and grandmother and was deeply loved by all who knew her.
She is survived by two daughters: Ida Beal (Bob) Harding of Los Angeles, California; Peggy Ann Beal (Joe) Tucker of Ocilla; two grandchildren: Joey (Janice) Tucker of Fitzgerald and Mandy (Elvin) Hall of Ocilla; ten great-grandchildren: Josh, Abby, Allison, Robbie, Ashley, Mark, Will, Isabella, Camron and E. J. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Roy Beal and four brothers: J. B. Malone, Claridge Malone, William Malone and Colin Malone.
