Rachel S. Hudlow, 88, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, July 26, 2004, at the Fitzgerald Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 29, 2004, at Paulk Funeral Home Chapel, Fitzgerald, with Rev. Tom Braziel officiating. Interment will take place 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 30, 2004, at Summerville Cemetery, Summerville, Georgia. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 7:00 until 9:00 Wednesday evening.
Mrs. Hudlow was born July 4, 1916, in Chattooga County, Georgia to the late H.F. and Amanda Morton Sims. She grew up on Ridgecrest Farm at Summerville. She was a former employee of Westinghouse in Detroit, Michigan for 15 years and worked as Secretary to the Manager of the Tampa International Airport for 20 years. She was a former member and secretary of Lake Carroll Baptist Church in Tampa, Florida. She moved to Fitzgerald in 1984 and was a member of First Baptist Church, Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Hudlow is survived by one sister: Mary S. Mitchell, Fitzgerald; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hudlow was preceded in death by her husband, John Inman Hudlow.
