Hazel “Christine” Collins Moore, 83, of Marietta, formerly of Tifton, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Hospice Atlanta in Atlanta. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Randall Gay will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Richard Chatting, Robert Chatting, Ronald Chatting, Roger Collins, Brian Meadows, Mike Moore, Steve Moore and Jan Reavis will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be William Braswell, Clyde Ellerbee, Larry Ellerbee, Tom Ellerbee, Lindy Jones, Allen LeBlanc, Charles Leverett, Crawford Leverett, Scott Meadows, Larry Moore, Edward Morris and Greg Walls. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 22, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Moore was born on May 6, 1929 in Turner County and was the daughter of Robert Ollie Collins and Mattie Hall Collins, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Claude Moore, who died on October 29, 2000; three brothers; and four sisters. She was a devoted homemaker and a loving wife and mother.
Mrs. Moore is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Frank Buckner of Marietta; one sister, Janette Story of Arabi; one granddaughter, Bonnie Lynn Buckner Reavis and grandson-in-law, Michael Jan Reavis of Marietta; and one great-grandson, William Jacob Reavis of Marietta.
