Roberta I. Shurick 59, of Mendon St. died Sunday at U Mass Medical Center. Born in Milford, MA, she was a daughter of Frederick and Mary (Clouart) Shurick of Blackstone. Roberta spent the last ten years as a homemaker, and had previously worked as a lab technician and secretary at several area businesses. She was an avid card player.
Besides her parents, she leaves a son, Tylor Shurick of Blackstone, and a daughter Lynn Mele and her husband Brian of Millis, MA, three sisters Debra Carter and Jane Boxold both of Blackstone, and Maria St. Laurent of Harrisville, and two grandchildren, Emmaleigh and Owen Champagne.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday 4-7 PM at the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket. Burial will be private.
