Marie G. Muse, age 101, passed away peacefully at the Emeritus Senior Living of Tewksbury on March 17th, following a brief period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Muse. Born in Concord, NH she was one of nine children of the late Walter and Mary (Butler) Chase.
Marie celebrated her 101st birthday this past February. She was a longtime resident of Wilmington and worked for 22 years as an assembly person for the Sylvania Corp. in Woburn prior to her retirement. Marie was a simple, kind and generous woman always willing to help others in need and always making her home a warm and welcoming place for friends and family to gather. Throughout her life she enjoyed dancing and music entertainment and good times with friends and family. She was a talented musician, playing the piano, organ and ukulele. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends she touched throughout her life.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Marie is predeceased by her daughter, the late Jean P. Burke and her late husband Walter. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Francis, Frederick, George and Walter Chase and granddaughter, the late Barbara Burke.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Barbara A. Keene and her husband K.C. of California. Grandchildren LeAnn Paddock, Kimm Martin, Russell Keene, Barbara Chaparro, Kevin Keene, Cheryl Boissy, William Burke, Robert Burke, Lauren Montague and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was the cherished sister of Margaret Richards of NH, Richard Chase of Woburn, Adrene "Rene" Chase of Wilmington and Arthur Chase of Tewksbury.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 374 Main St., Wilmington , Friday, March 22nd, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 126 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Dello Russo Funeral Home will be held on Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Marie's memory to Care Alternatives Hospice, 181 Cedar Hill Rd., Marlborough, MA 01752.
