MURPHY, Eileen M. (Bernhard) Age 91 of Roslindale passed away peacefully at the Tippett House in Needham on March 17, 2013. Beloved wife of the late William J. Murphy, Jr. Loving mother of her nine children, William J. Murphy III and his wife Jane of Carrollton, TX, Jane Keaveney and her late husband William of Walpole, the late Carol Sweeney and her surviving husband William of Somis, CA, Nancy Murphy of Aspen, CO, John Murphy of Roslindale, Janice Attaya and her husband Samuel of Walpole, James Murphy and his wife Rita of Walpole, Mary Murphy-Hensley and her husband Kevin of Needham and Eileen Murphy-McNamara and her husband Jay of Arlington. Loving grandmother to William, Christopher, Michaela, Michael, Robert, Nancy, Kathryn, Tina, David, William, John, Lynsey, Matthew, James, Brian, Emily, Lucy, Maeve, Colin and Brendan and loving great-grandmother to fourteen great-grandchildren.
Her family expresses their deep appreciation for her profound love, compassion and resilience throughout her life. They are forever grateful for her gift of a home always filled with warmth and laughter. They also express their gratitude for the care and kindness that she received in recent months from caregivers at The Faulkner, Newbridge, Houseworks and The Tippett House.
