Mrs. Irene P. (Rokel) Coconis, 86, a resident of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away on Saturday, March 16th, 2013 at the Nevins Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen.
She was born on December 25th,1926 in Lawrence to the late Peter and Elizabeth (Rolonios) Rokel. Irene was educated in the local schools of Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. She later attended and graduated from McIntosh Business School.
Irene was a parishioner of Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, where she was an active member serving on many festival committees throughout the year.
She worked as an Assembler for Western Electric Company in North Andover for 10 plus years.
Irene was an avid reader and will be remembered for her quick wit, loving heart and great compassion for animals, she also had a wonderful outlook on life. She always had a smile on her face and having been born on Christmas she was called the "Christmas Angel". She will be missed by her many friends and all who knew her.

Her funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Sts.Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 71Chandler Road, Andover, Massachusetts.
Burial will follow at the Saint Mary's Immaculate Conception Mausoleum in Lawrence, MA.
