Worcester—Ann (Pano) Spero, died Sunday, July 25, 2004, at Holy Trinity Nursing Home. Her husband of many years, Theodore Spero, died in 1991. She leaves a son, Steven Spero and his wife, Kelly of Worcester; a daughter, Evelyn Ajemian and her husband, Edward of Rutland; a brother, James Pano of Watertown; a sister, Nora Karitsy of Worcester; two grandsons, two granddaughters, a step-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Kosta and Angjeli (George) Pano.
She lived all of her life in Worcester, except for two years in Peabody. She was a graduate of Classical High School and attended Salter’s Business School. Ann worked in the Circulation and Accounting Departments of the Telegram & Gazette. Previously she worked in the bookkeeping department of the Melville Shoe Corp. She was a member of Saint Mary’s Albanian Orthodox Church and a member of A.A.R.P.
Funeral services will be held from Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street with a service at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 28, in Saint Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church, 535 Salisbury St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 9:30-11:30 a.m. before the funeral at the funeral home. A Trisagion Service will be held during the calling hours.
