Obituary

Walter William Story, 62, died Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Yalobusha General Hospital in Water Valley, MS. Born May 30, 1950 in Dearborn, MI to Billy Joe and Joyce Kamraus Story, he served in the United States Army and worked for the Yalobusha County EMS as a First Responder. He served as a volunteer firefighter and loved to help people. He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed crappie fishing, was a devoted husband, and loved his family. He was a member of O'Tuckalofa Baptist Church.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, March 19, 2013 from 5 until 7 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Services are planned for Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 2 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Dan Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow at Turkey Creek Cemetery in Calhoun County with Sherman Gooch, Eddie Godwin, Danny Godwin, Murray Smith, Ronnie Stark, and Marshall "Bubba" Jackson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bob Ward, Herbie Rogers, Frankie Bennett, Stuart Spence, Michael Defer, and Bo Hughes.

He is survived by his wife, Trudy Story of Water Valley, MS; two sons, Steven Story (Michelle) of Water Valley, MS and Mark Story (Juanita) of Oxford, MS; his mother, Joyce Brady of Michigan; five brothers, Lester Story (Lynn) of Taylor, MI, Jon Story of Clinton, TN, Herman Story (Linda) of Oxford, MS, Rick Story (Amanda) of Clinton, TN, and Joey Story (Christie) of Pittsburgh, MS; four sisters, Lois Decker (Jerry) of Taylor MI, Emily Williams (David) of Shepard, TX, Jeanie Douglas (John) of Water Valley, MS, and Mary Helen Maine (Lou) of Brownstown, MI; and four grandchildren, Hannah Story, Aiden Story, Cora Story, and Cassandra Story.

He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Story.
