Vincent A. Micale passed away on March 15, 2013. He was 80 years old.
Vincent grew up in the West End of Boston and was a longtime resident of Malden. He worked as an inspector for the Registry of Motor Vehicles for many years and retired as a lieutenant for the Massachusetts State Police. Vincent served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the West Enders Club.
Vincent was the son of the late Frank and Rose (Saia) Micale. He was the devoted husband of 57 years to Marie (Sica) Micale. Vincent was the beloved father of Diana Fortenbacher and her husband Donald of Stoneham, Donna Micale of Malden, Denise Ruggiero of Tewksbury and her late husband James, Vincent Micale Jr. of Tewksbury and Christine Micale-Beechin and her husband Scott of Malden. He was the dear brother of Frances Pasquarello, Richard Micale and the late Paul, Alfonso, Frank and Charles Micale. Vincent was the cherished grandfather of Donald Fortenbacher and his wife Angela, Danielle Gasbarro and her husband Daniel, James and Gia Ruggiero, Jessica Micale, Vincent Micale III, Sophia, Costa and Lorella Beechin and the great-grandfather of Antonio, Matteo and Robert. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held from the A.J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Thursday, March 21st at 8:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph’s Church, 770 Salem Street, Malden at 9:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Wednesday, March 20th from 4-8 p.m. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
