Mary (Rizzo) Salamone, of Stoneham passed away Saturday July 24, 2004 at the Hospice House, Reading, she was 95 years of age.
Born in Barrafranca, Sicily, Mary was the daughter of the late John and Maria (DiSalvo) Rizzo. She was a resident of Stoneham for many years. She was a dedicated homemaker and loved her family. Mary was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Parish and a member of the Sons of Italy, Stoneham Ladies Lodge.
Mary was the cherished wife of the late Louis Salamone. She was the loving mother of Benedetto Salamone and Estelle Bertolino, grandmother of five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Frank and two sisters, Viola Campochiaro and Jennie Cannata.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10am in St. Patrick’s Church 71 Central St. Stoneham. Entombment Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend visiting hours Tuesday 3-8 p.m. at the Barile Family Funeral Home 482 Main St. STONEHAM.
