Carolyn Sue "Suzi" McDuffee passed from the arms of her loving family and friends into the loving arms of Eternal Life on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
Born, September 30, 1934, to William R. and Gertrude (Sloan) Wyatt, who preceded her, she lived her entire life in Madison County.
Suzi suffered, the last several years, from hydrocephalus, a very debilitating malady, caused from a fall while playing "Ring-Around-Rosie" with a Great-granddaughter.
Suzi married Ted R. McDuffee on October 3, 1952 enjoying sixty years of marriage. Together they owned and operated McDuffee TV Service in Anderson over fifty-five years before she had to retire due to her illness.
Surviving are her husband; daughter, Terri Leeman, Anderson; son Greg (wife Teresa) McDuffee, Summitville, Grandchildren Maggie McGuire and Mallory McGuire, Anderson; Caitlin McGuire, Lapel; Kelli (husband Jimmy) Darter, Price, Utah; Gentry (wife Ashley) McDuffee, Alexandria and step-grandchildren Jesse (wife Katie) Johnson, Anderson and Jennette (husband Josh) Dunlap, Summitville and eleven great grandchildren. Also surviving are sister, Sally (husband Nyles) Anson, Anderson and first cousin, Ron (wife Pat) Wyatt, Portland, Oregon.
Suzi's Spiritual Life first began when, in the 1940's, she joined the Fifth Street Methodist Church, Anderson, being baptized there. After marriage, Suzi and Ted joined the Chesterfield Christian Church, DOC where she was baptized again by Rev. Harold "Pete" Clark. She was presently a member of Central Christian Church, DOC in Anderson where she had been active in several groups.
Suzi, up until health issues prevented her from doing so, was very active in several civic, volunteer, and sorority groups. In later years, she missed so much not being able to participate in the activities of these groups.
At her wishes, cremation took place. A "Celebration of Life" service will be held 2:00 P.M. on Sunday April 14, 2013 at Central Christian Church; 923 Jackson Street; Anderson, IN 46016.
