Obituary

Mr. James S. Pinto, age 77 of Medford and Arlington VA., died Saturday in Medford. Mr. Pinto was born in Boston, the son of the late John and Rose (Danieli) Pinto. In his early years he lived in Boston's West End. He is a graduate of Medford High School, class of 1954. He continued his education securing a degree in Computer Technology. He is a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and served in Italy and Germany during the Vietnam War Era.
He worked as a Computer Analyst and was employed by the U. S. Government in the division of Housing and Urban Development. One of the great loves of his life was ballroom dancing. He was exceptionally graceful and soon became quite adept as such. As a dancer, he taught others, and travelled extensively. He attended many "Dance Camps" where he honed his skill and learned the newest teaching techniques as well as keeping current in the latest dances. One of ten children, he enjoyed family gatherings and functions.
He is survived by a brother, Joseph Pinto, and three sisters, Helen Marujo and her husband Clement, Rose Pinto and Margaret Hennessey all of Medford. Brother of the late John, Josephine, Salvatore and Paul Pinto, Josephine Fallon and Catherine Amato.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home 306 Main Street Medford, Saturday at 10:00 am. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 11:00 am. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions in James' name may be sent to the Mass. General Hospital Cancer Center, 55 Fruit St, Boston, MA 02114 .
