Obituary

WORCESTER___Dorothy B. (Connors) Beriau, 86, of 25 Orne St., died Friday July 23 in Sterling Healthcare Center, Sterling.

She leaves her husband, Wilfred A. Beriau; three sons, Wilfred R. Beriau of Gray, ME., Mark B. Beriau of Worcester and Michael J. Beriau of Fiskdale; a daughter, Patricia M. Kidd of Buchanan, VA., a brother, Ralph P. Connors of Massapequa, N.Y., 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. She was born in Marlborough, daughter of Patrick and Albina (Audelin) Connors and lived here most of her life.

Mrs. Beriau worked several years for the Worcester State College Day Care Center. As an adult student she graduated cum laude from Worcester State College with a degree in early childhood education. Dorothy had been a volunteer working with visually impaired pre teens for Massachusetts Association for the Blind and once was honored as their Volunteer of the Year. She was a member of St. Bernard’s Church, the Seven Hills Camera Club, Opera Worcester, Inc., and Music Worcester.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday July 27 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard’s Church, 228 Lincoln St. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Winchendon. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday July 26 from 5 to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Massachusetts Association for the Blind, 799 West Boylston St., Worcester, 01606.
