Ellen (Descheneaux) Charbonneau, age 64, passed away on March 9, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 7, 1948 in Holyoke. She was a daughter of the late Robert and Sophie (Cheika) Descheneaux. She attended Chicopee Comprehensive High School and Holyoke Community College. Ellen worked as a manager for the Wall Street Journal for 30 years. She was the co owner for Dave’s Auto Repair Inc. and also had worked for Glenn A Ladd Accounting as a receptionist. She was a member of the American Veterans Post 12 Ladies Aux. She leaves her loving husband, David Charbonneau of Chicopee and her son Kenneth Riverin and his wife Michelle of Chicopee. She is predeceased by her son David Daniel Charbonneau and also by her brother Kenneth Descheneaux. The family would like to thank Baystate Visiting Nurse and Hospice and the Damour Cancer Center with a special thanks to Jennifer Norton. A Funeral Service will be held on Wed. March 13, 2013 at the Ma Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at 11:00 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Tues., March 12th from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee.
