Clifford D. Maguire “Mac” 86, of Brockton formerly of Quincy died March 8, 2013 in the Life Care Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in West Bridgewater. He is the husband of 67 years to Beverly R. (Jackson) Maguire. He was born raised and educated in the Wollaston section of Quincy before moving to Brockton more than 55 years ago. Mac worked for the Boston Gear Works in Quincy as a Machinist for 40 years retiring in 1990. He will be remembered by those who knew and loved him as a hardworking man who enjoyed the company of his family and time spent at home.
In addition to his wife Mac is survived by his children June R. Dillon and her husband James and John R. Maguire and his wife Cherie (Roberts) all of Brockton; his sister Evelyn Lovering of Chatham; his grandchildren Kristin, Steven P. Maguire Jr., Shawn Dillon and Michelle and his great grandchildren Joseph Dwyer, Stephanie Dillon, Derek Dwyer and Megan Dillon. He was also predeceased by his son Steven P. Maguire.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 pm in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton with a funeral service immediately following at 4pm. Cremation will follow with burial at a later date.
