Mrs. Patricia (Hannon) Smith, age 74, died Saturday March 9, 2013, at the Winchester Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born and raised in Somerville, Patricia has been a Medford resident for the last 35 years. She was the devoted daughter of the late Etta (Rodgers) & George Hannon.
Patricia graduated from Somerville High School in 1956. She worked as a bookkeeper for Aberjona Nursing Center of Winchester. She loved to travel, with her husband Paul, going on cruises, and also trips to Bermuda and Mexico. She enjoyed cooking and was an avid reader. Most of all, Patricia loved spending time with her family especially her loving grandchildren.
Patricia was the beloved wife of Paul E. Smith. Devoted mother of Tracey L. Palmariello, her husband Anthony, and Laurie J. Smith all of Derry, NH. Loving grandmother of Joseph, Matthew, Rhiannon, Michael and Carys. Sister of Margaret "Lorraine" Dowden of Windsor Locks, CT, Norman Hannon of CA and the late George Hannon, Les Hannon, and Jean Dowden. Dear friend of Katherine Tighe of Arlington. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. MEDFORD Wednesday March 13th at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High St. Medford at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 thru 8.
Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
