Isabelle “Lena” (Cutrone) Petroni, of Medford, died Monday at the Winchester Hospital. She was 88.
A life-long Medford resident, Lena was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Linda (Pastore) Cutrone. A hairdresser at the former Gilchrist Department Store in Medford Square and Michel’s in Haines Sq., Lena was also a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Italian American War Veteran’s Post 8. Lena was a devoted wife and mother who loved to care for her family, especially her grandchildren and puppies.
The beloved wife of Michael V. Petroni, she was a devoted mother to Dolores Callahan and her husband Joseph of Woburn, Laura Hankard-Vasquez and her husband Raul Vasquez of Medford, Michele Fitzsimmons and her husband Robert of Stoneham. A loving grandmother to Robert Jr., Thomas, Robyn, Joseph III, Jeffrey and Jordan, she also leaves her dear sister Mary Randazzo of Lynnfield and her two beloved puppies Lancer and Ariel.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday March 9th at 10 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit at the funeral home Friday 4 – 8 PM.
