Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Daniel J. Crowley, age 62, a resident of Tewksbury for 18 years, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at his home.

He was the husband of Georgia L. (McGirr) Crowley with whom he celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on May 16th.

Born in Boston on October 26, 1941, he was the son of the late John F. Crowley, Sr. and Catherine L. (Austin) Crowley.

Mr. Crowley was raised in the Dorchester area of Boston and attended Dorchester schools.

In 1961, he moved to Malden, where he lived for 25 years until moving to Tewksbury in 1986.

Mr. Crowley was employed by Thayer & Associates of Cambridge for the past 4 years. He previously worked for Local # 223 of Boston for 12 years.

Mr. Crowley was an associate member of the Tewksbury D.A.V. Post # 110.

He was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan.

Mr. Crowley enjoyed woodworking, frequenting the Village Restaurant in Essex and assisting his family with home improvement projects.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters; Joanne Pomer and her husband Michael of York, ME and Tammy Srinivasa and her husband Sanjai of Northboro; 1 son; Michael J. Crowley of Madison, NH; 3 sisters; Anne Pierce and her husband Joseph of Somerdale, NJ, Kathleen Gallagher and her husband Walter and Dorothy McMorrow and her husband John all of Easton, Mass; 4 brothers; John F. Crowley, Jr. and his wife Cathy (Chien) of Semmes, AL, James Crowley and his wife Fran (McCarthy) of Easton, Gerald J. Crowley and his wife Barbara (Mundus) of Billerica and Patrick S. Crowley and his wife Judith (Collins) of Westford; 5 grandchildren; Nicholas, Michael, Lauren, Madison and Cassandra; also 26 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Crowley was the father of the late Daniel J. Crowley, Jr.

Calling hours Friday 4-9 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral Saturday at 10 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Cremation at Linwood Crematory, Haverhill. At the request of the family OMIT FLOWERS.
