Phillip W. Miller, 87, of Daleville, died February 28, 2013 at Kindred Health Care of Muncie following a brief illness. He was born on June 22, 1925 in Columbus, Indiana the son of Sam and Sara Katherine (McKay) Miller. He was employed for 28 years with Vectren (formerly Central Indiana Gas). He served in the US Army and was a member of Trinity Community Church of Daleville.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Woolston Miller whom he married on November 29, 1952. 3 children: Donna Perry of Muncie, Phillip Michael (Leslie) Miller of Brownsburg, and Rhonda (Dale) Gomm of Houston, TX. 6 Grandchildren: Clifton (Pam) Miller, Cassie (Cary) Solida, Claire Miller, Geoffrey Gomm, Meaghan Gomm, and Kimberly Perry. 1 great grandchildren: Cameron Solida. A brother, Richard Miller of Anderson and a sister, Sara (Charles) Stewart of Lakeland, FL. Several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Raymond Miller, William Miller, and James Miller, and two sisters, Charlotte McCord and Marjorie Montgomery, and a son in law, Mike Perry.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11 AM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson with Pastor Paul Pletcher officiating. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday from 4-8 Pm at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorial Contributions may be given to Trinity Community Church.
