Marie A. (Zima) Dembowski, age 85, of Lynn, died March 1 at home after a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Mount Carmel, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John and Veronica (Kernozki) Zima, and the wife of the late Jerome T. Dembowski. She has lived in Lynn for the past 53 years and was a former St. Michael's parishioner. She was a member of the Polish Legion American Veterans Auxiliary, Chapter 56 and a member of the Holy Rosary Sodality.
She is survived by four sons, John J. and his wife Tina Dembowski of Lynn, Joseph and his wife Suzanne Dembowski of Rowley, James M. and Jeffrey Dembowski, both of Lynn; one brother, John Zima; and a cousin, Ramona Halko of Philadelphia, Pa. Loving grandmother of seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin, Suzie, Veronica, Amy, Joseph Jr. and Joshua; eight great grandchildren. Also several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Jerome "Jerry" Dembowski and the sister of the late Edward Zima, Regina Glosek, Dorothy Dunne, Claire Rice, Agnes Sentkoski and Eleanor Hutko.
Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services in the NADWORNY Funeral Home, 798 Western Ave., Lynn on Monday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visiting hours Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. P.LA.V. Chapter 56 and the Rosary Sodality will meet at 3 p.m. for prayers.
