FRAMINGHAM: Bruno E. Moscatelli, 90, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick following a brief illness.
He was born in Mondolfo, Italy on January 30, 1923 the son of the late Nazzareno Moscatelli and Maria (Carboni) Moscatelli.
He was the husband of the late Maxine L. (Hollett) Moscatelli who died on August 1, 1996. They shared 50 years of marriage.
He is survived by his devoted children: Claudia Dawe and her husband Rick of Hastings, MI; Kathleen Ross and her husband Stewart of Millis and Kenneth Moscatelli and his wife Shaunne of Sagamore. Devoted grandfather of Brandon M. Dawe and his wife Melissa of Livonia, MI, Michelle Moscatelli and Gina Moscatelli both of Boston. Cherished great-grandfather of Brandon M. Dawe, Emilia Dawe and Anderson Dawe all of Livonia, MI. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Bruno came to the United States at the age of 6 and Has resided in Framingham for the past 84 years. He was a graduate of Framingham High School and entered the United States Navy. He served his country proudly with the Navy as a Seaman First Class on the USS Newman in the Pacific Theatre. He had a distinguished career as a Utility Repairman with General Motors in Framingham and retired after 30 years of dedicated service. He and his wife Maxine enjoyed traveling to Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Florida as well as taking several cruises upon retirement. He loved gardening, was a fabulous gardener raising tomatoes and many other vegetables and flowers. He enjoyed fishing as well as ballroom dancing with his wife. His greatest accomplishment was his family and being able to spend time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who he adored.
Visitations will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (Off Rte 30), Cochituate Village, Wayland.
His funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 11:00 AM.
Interment will follow in the Moscatelli family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
