NATICK: Lee Bernard Duval, 87, died peacefully and comfortably on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Jackman, ME on April 9, 1925 the son of the late Omer Joseph Duval and Helen (Haggan) Duval.
He is survived by his devoted wife of sixty years Priscilla (Parker) Duval. Loving father of Carla Gavin and her husband Paul of Ashland, Duncan Duval and his wife Deborah of Framingham, Adrienne Guay and her husband Joseph of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Douglas Duval and his wife Paula of Ashland, Jay Duval and his wife Kathleen of North Attleboro and Janine Komola and her husband Thomas of Framingham. Brother of Jeannette Holden of Jackman, ME. Cherished Grandfather of Michelle Good of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Nicole Guay of Sedro-Woolley, WA, Sara Gavin of Ashland, Danielle Maguire and her husband Matthew of Haverhill, Jasmine Laffin and her husband Timothy of Framingham, Michael Gavin of Astoria, NY, Jessica Duval and her partner Gregory Towne of Framingham, Dana Duval and his wife Kristyna of Dracut, James Komola of Framingham, Holly Duval of Framingham, Briana Komola and her partner James McCusker of Wellesley and Cameron Duval of Framingham. Also survived by nine adored great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Lee was a longtime resident of Natick. He served his country proudly during World War II as a Sergeant with the United States Army Air Corps in the European Theatre. He retired after over 20 years of dedicated service as a Machinist with Dennison Mfg. in Framingham. He was associated for 50 years with a Barbershop Chorus in the area and was a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society (SPEBSQSA). Lee was a charter member and a Past Commander of the VFW in Jackman, ME. He was known for his wonderful laugh and love of life. He was a beloved Grampy to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Lee’s family will receive visitors starting at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 followed by a Memorial Service celebrating his life at 11:00 AM at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Rd (Off Rte 30) Wayland.
Interment will be held at a later date in Jackman, ME.
