Obituary

Tamara Jannell (Dahlheimer) Bachstein, 71, of Dartmouth passed away Thursday February 28, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Richard Bachstein.
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of the late Elroy and Mildred (Dahlheimer) Ratz, she lived in the St. Louis area for most of her life before moving to Dartmouth nine years ago.
Tammy was a long term executive with Sears Roebuck Co. in St. Louis until her retirement.
She loved antiques and time spent with her husband scouting out treasures at garage sales and antique marts. She loved the Boston Red Sox, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the New England Patriots. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and watching all of her birds at the feeders. She often spent time talking with all of her old friends to keep up on all of the gossip in St. Louis. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
Her family would like to thank the staff of St. Luke's Hospital for the loving care given to Tammy during her illness.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Michael Bachstein and his fiancée, Robin Vigeant; and two grandchildren, Noah and Chloe Bachstein.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Sunday from 1-4 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
