WEST SPRINGFIELD – Roy Lynd Clary, 67, of West Springfield was Called Safely Home on Wednesday, February 27, 2013. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 18, 1945, a son of the late Charles R. and Helen (Kmec) Clary and moved to West Springfield in April of 2011. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and attained the rank of Specialist 4. He leaves his children, Ashley C. Long and her husband, David, Preston G. Clary and his wife, Raven, and Charles R. Clary, all of Tennessee; his four cherished grandchildren, Taylor and Bradyn Long and Hailie and Piper Clary; his dear brother, Thomas Clary and his wife, Jeanne, of Virginia; his loving partner, Judith E. Schlagel of West Springfield; and several dear nephews and nieces. His Committal Service with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam.
