Mr. Leonard G. “Butch” Cotnoir, 84, of Port St. Lucie, FL died February 16th peacefully in his home. Born in Fitchburg, MA, Mr. Cotnoir graduated St. Joseph Grammar School in 1942, and Fitchburg High School in 1946. Upon graduation He joined the United States Army where he trained in Kentucky and served as a Corporal in Japan attached to an Artillery Division. Mr. Cotnoir returned home in 1948 and graduated Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in NY in 1952. He was employed at Hamilton Standard a division of United Technologies Corp where he remained for 35 years. His career included travel to seventy countries. Following his retirement Mr. Cotnoir moved to Port St. Lucie where he was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Son of the late Eugene and Blanche (Marion) Cotnoir, Mr. Cotnoir is survived by one brother: Clement Cotnoir of Fitchburg, MA, one sister-in-law Myrtle Cotnoir of N. Kingstown, RI and eleven nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday March 4th from 9:00 to 10:30 am at Brandon Funeral Home, 305 Wanoosnoc Road, Fitchburg. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 am at St. Joseph Church in Fitchburg, burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Edgar J.
