Obituary

James F. Donohue, Sr. 89 of 9 Jolicoeur Rd., died Sunday July 18 at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester after being sticken ill at home. He leaves his wife of 65 years, Geraldine E. (Fegreus) Donohue, a son James F. Donohue,Jr. husband of Candy Donahue and a daughter Nancy Donohue Berthiaume wife of Blaise P. Berthiaume all of Spencer, a sister Marie Sancus of Worcester, four grandchildren, Patrick J. Donohue, Damien D. and Padgett D. Berthiaume and Shelly C. Lacaire all of Spencer, three great grandchildren, Casey and Nolan Lacaire and Liam Donohue, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by brothers Timothy, Jr. and Francis Donohue and a sister Madeline Edoff.Born in Worcester he was the son of Timothy J. & Catherine (Cullity) Donohue, Sr. Mr. Donohue was a foreman at Heald Machine in Worcester, where he worked for 45 years, retiring in 1980. He was a Navy veteran of WWII and a member of the Worcester Chapter 4 of the Disabled American Veterans. He graduated from Commerce High in 1934 and was a founding member of the Cranberry Lake Association. He was a former member of Sacred Heart Church in Worcester. He enjoyed woodworking and his summer cottage on Cranberry Lake. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 21 at 11a.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer.
