GROVELAND: Barbara A. (Ball) Jameson, 83, died Saturday, February 23, 2013 in the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank Jameson in 1986 and later in life by her dear companion, Ralph Knibloe.
Born in Lawrence on November 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Merritt and Annie (Shirton) Ball. Barbara was a graduate of Methuen High School. She has been a resident of Groveland for the past nine years. She previously had lived in Bradford and before moving to Groveland, had resided in Venice, Florida for twenty-three years.
She had worked for several years as Director of Personnel at the Dooner Pharmaceutical Laboratories in Ward Hill. While living in Florida Barbara was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and was very involved in many church activities and committees. Barbara liked to spend time reading, playing bridge and traveling.
She is survived by her sons, J. Kevin and his wife, Marion Donahue of Bradford and David Jameson of Florida; her daughter, Barbara A. Fontaine and her fiancé, Roy Sigman of Norton; granddaughter, Jessica and her husband, Scott DeCiero of Northbridge ; three great-grandsons, Connor, Jackson and Andrew DeCiero; two sisters, Joyce and her husband, Paul Sparta and Marilyn and her husband, Robert Logan; two brothers, Donald and his wife, Ginny Ball and Frank and his wife, Margie Ball; two sisters-in-law, Kay Jameson and Eileen Jameson; her goddaughter, Nancy Beth Gerry and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Beth Byrom and Patricia Indurre and her brother, Merritt “Bob” Ball.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday in the St. James Episcopal Church, 121 Washington Street, Groveland, MA at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend. Burial will be private.
