TEWKSBURY: Irene (Heath) Huber, age 75, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 14 years, died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington.
She was born in Wayne, Oklahoma on February 3, 1929, the daughter of the late Chester C. Heath, Sr. and Ruby (Ayres) Heath.
Mrs. Huber was raised in Gruver, Texas.
She attended Gruver, Texas schools and graduated from Gruver High School.
Prior to moving to Tewksbury in 1990, she resided for 26 years in Beverly, Mass.
Mrs. Huber was employed for 9 years as a seamstress at Bridals by Desjardins of Beverly.
She was an avid reader. In addition, she enjoyed playing cards, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by 2 daughters; Kathleen A. McMahon and her fiancé Michael T. Anthony both of Georgetown, Mass. and Donna J. Strandberg and her husband Eric R. Strandberg of Tewksbury; 1 son; Scott A. Huber of Salem, Mass.; 6 grandchildren; Holly, Adam, Kelley, Matthew, Derek and Heather; 3 brothers; Winson Heath and his wife Del of Lampe, Missouri, C.C. Heath and his wife Ora Mae of Gruver, TX and J.B. Heath and his wife Shirley of Stinnett, TX; her former husband; Ernest F. Huber, Jr. of Deland, FL.
Mrs. Huber was the sister of the late Betty Jean Cotter and Donald Heath.
Calling hours Wednesday, July 21st from 5-8 p.m. at the FARMER & DEE FUNERAL HOME, 16 LEE ST., TEWKSBURY. Funeral services Thursday, July 22nd at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Foundation, P.O. Box 1131, Fairfax, VA 22038 are suggested.
