Yvette B. Desmarais, 83, of Manchester, died February 24, 2013 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
She was born in Franklin on December 24, 1929, the daughter of Joseph Ernest and Adrienne (Mercier) Boisvert. She was educated in the local school system.
Prior to retirement, she had been working at Summit Packaging for many years. Previously she had worked at Textron in Franklin, Poultry Products, Jewel Electronics, and the former Notre Dame Hospital.
Yvette loved to crochet and do afghans. Above all else, she cherished the time spent with her family and took great pride in caring for her husband.
She was predeceased by two children, Carol Ann and Walter and two sisters, Genevieve Vaillancourt and her twin Laurette Longdon. She was also predeceased by a grandchild Christopher.
Family members include her husband of 62 years Robert H. Desmarais of Manchester; her children, Stephanie A. St. Onge and her husband Richard Caillouette of Manchester, Collette M. Desmarais of Manchester, Roland P. Desmarais and wife Irene of Manchester; her grandchildren, Kathleen, Dylan, Carrie, James, Joseph and Paul; nine great-grandchildren; nephews and nieces.
A memorial Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, March 2, 2013 in St. Paul Church, 110 School Street, Franklin. Urn burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin in the spring.
