Edna P. Dick, 92, formerly of Derry, NH died February 22, 2013 in Hanover Hill Healthcare Center, Manchester, NH. Mrs. Dick was born in Chegoggin, Nova Scotia, Canada on December 16, 1920 a daughter of the late John F. and Nellie B. (Nickerson) Purdy. She was a resident of Derry for most of her life. She was employed over the years for Standard Sash and Door and later as a clerk for Ben Franklins, both of Derry. She enjoyed crafts and her flower garden and was a member of the Sew What Club.
She is survived by his daughter, Nancy Scott of Auburn, NH, six grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one sister, Beatrice Gurley of Knoxville, TN, also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert H. Dick in 2008.
There are no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13th at 9:30am in Forest Hill Cemetery, E. Derry. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, PO Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220-3049. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry is handling arrangements.
